LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Still a long way to go in bullying

Pink Shirt Day might be a start to stop bullying but we have a long way to go. We cannot stop bullying in schools as long as adults keep bullying. Children watch and listen.

Pink Shirt Day might be a start to stop bullying but we have a long way to go. We cannot stop bullying in schools as long as adults keep bullying.  Children watch and listen. We have to stop hating our fellow man for the colour of his skin or his religious or his political beliefs.

When I went to school, there was no lunch stealing. Everyone sat at their desks to eat, even the teacher. If there was bullying on the playgrounds, we dealt with it by hand or stick. God did not make everyone equal, but he made equalizers.

My dad always told us don’t start anything but make sure you finish it. Also, you get in trouble at school be prepared for trouble at home.

Pink shirt is a step in the right direction, but we have a long way to go. We can get there is we keep making steps in the right direction.

Love thy neighbour and do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
